What’s up Decoding Bio fam! Instead of a newsletter this week, we have a small favor to ask. We would really appreciate if you could provide feedback using this quick survey on how we’re doing and how we can improve the newsletter. Our goal is to consistently deliver high value summaries and analysis from the world of bio. Your feedback will help us do that.

Thank you for all of the support,

Patrick, Amee, Ketan, Morgan, and Pablo

Hi, I just got here, and am responding to your request, based on what I see on your About page.

Not being a biologist myself, I would benefit from commentary on possible threats presented by the biotech industry, explained in non-technical language accessible to the average person, to the degree that is possible.

I have done some reading on CRISPR, and find myself uncomfortable with the notion of making genetic engineering ever easier, ever cheaper, ever more powerful, and ever more accessible to ever more people.

I'm receptive to learning about the many benefits that will flow from biotech, but not if benefits are the only thing being discussed, which seems to be a pattern across many biotech sites. Not sure what the case is on this site yet, keeping an open mind as I learn more.

That's my one little vote. Thanks for listening!
